Why Learn With Dave Graber?
My lessons and e-courses are designed to help beginner bass players progress to intermediate, advanced, and expert levels. I know what it's like to feel lost learning from scratch and not knowing how to play a style. I want to take you from that into playing confidently, learning scales and chords, playing in different styles, and having fun doing it so you can be a support as a bass player and as a person in a band.
When I started lessons with Dave, I was playing in multiple church bands and a couple of local groups. I considered myself an intermediate-level player, but I was mostly self-taught. Dave's lessons changed my life as a musician. I learned how to easily understand and memorize songs, to play in various styles, and to know exactly how to add incredible support with my basslines.

Dave Graber
Bass Instructor
I am a graduate of Grant MacEwan Community College and the University of Calgary with distinction, I received the Edmonton Jazz Society Scholarship (Grant MacEwan) and the Margaret Locke Scholarship for strings (U of C). I studied with Gary Willis of Tribal Tech and Charlie Banacos of the New England Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music. I taught at the National Guitar Workshop and am published by Mel Bay.
I have performed with: Larry Coryell, Eric Marienthal, Skip Martin, Donald Harrison, Steve Turre, Jimmy D Lane, Russell Malone, Bobby Watson, Delfeayo Marsalis, Fareed Haque, Javon Jackson, Walle Larson, Mark Gabriel Hasselback, Glen Goto, and many other talented musicians.
